Vencore, Inc. is a private defense contractor serving the US Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and other agencies. From 2010 to 2014, the company was named Organization SI, Inc. (SI). SI provides a full life cycle, system engineering that focuses on mission and integration capabilities, according to its company website. Key locations include Chantilly (VA), Basking Ridge (NJ), Denver (CO), Laurel (MD), Los Angeles (CA), Red Bank (NJ), St. Louis (MO), and Valley Forge (PA). The company employs about 2,000 people.

Company History
SI was established in 1972 in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, as part of GE Aerospace, when a team of 60 engineers began providing system engineering and integration services to the Intelligence Community. System Integrator Construction is conceived by the US Government to help implement a large, complex, and expensive space-based national security program. Due to the success of its construction, SI grew throughout the 1980s and 1990s, as part of Martin Marietta and later Lockheed Martin, expanding into Northern Virginia and Maryland. SI divested by Lockheed Martin in 2010 and acquired by private equity firm Veritas Capital.
In 2012, SI acquired PhaseOne Communications, a company that provides strategic communications services. In 2013, SI acquired Applied Communication Science. ACS has capabilities in cybersecurity and information security, networking and operations, data analysis, advanced software and methodology, wireless and mobility, application engineering and integration, intelligent networking, and optical networks and quantum technologies.
In October 2013, SI was notified by the US Air Force Space & amp; The Missile Systems Center (SMC) has submitted a winning proposal for follow-up GPS SMC SE & amp; I contract, replacing the incumbent Leidos (formerly SAIC) on the program it has been managing since 2007.
In 2014 SI acquired QinetiQ North America, and soon afterwards, changed its name to Vencore.
In October 2017 it was announced that Vencore would join the US Public Sector business from DXC Technology and with KeyPoint Government Solutions to create new, publicly traded, public contractors. The newly formed company will be named Perspecta.
