West Park Mall is a closed shopping center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Opened in 1981, it is anchored by Macy's (91,175 sq. Ft.), JCPenney (100,466 sq. Ft.), Ashley HomeStore (80,710 sq. Ft.), Old Navy, and Barnes & amp; Noble.

History
This mall was built in 1981 by May Centers, a division of The May Department Stores Company. It features Famous-Barr (now Macy's) and JCPenney as an anchor store, with original tenants including Hallmark Cards, Foot Locker, Kay-Bee Toys, Claire, Zales Jewelers, GNC, Waldenbooks, and Lerner New York. An 80,000 foot venture was added as the third anchor in 1984. Westfield Group bought the mall from May in 1993 and named it Westfield Shoppingtown West Park.
The Venture Shop closed in 1998, the same year in which the mall owner proposed adding a fourth anchor store. The West Park Mall Venture store and other stores at Kentucky Oaks Mall in Paducah, Kentucky, both became Shopko in 1999, bringing West Park to 100 percent occupancy for the first time in its history. Shopko closed in 2001.
The Old Navy opened at the mall in 2004. A year later, the former Venture Room and Shopko became Steve & amp; Barry. In 2006, Westfield sold the mall to the Centro Properties Group, which returned it to its original name. Barnes & amp; Noble also added.
Some shops close at the mall between 2008 and 2010, including Steve & amp; Barry's, Pacific Sunwear, Tilt, (an arcade video originally called "The Gold Mine" in the 1980s,) and a restaurant that has been in the mall for 24 years. Despite this vacancy, the mall was 88 percent occupied in 2010, with some stores still operating. Centro sells the mall to Madison Marquette in mid-2012.
Ashley Furniture opens in 2018 in the former Venture Building. Outside space packages are Sears Grand, Marcus Theaters 14-screen complex, Dollar Tree (former Circuit City), Staples, TJMaxx, Target, and Five Below.
