The International Car of the Year (ICOTY) awards is one of several annual "car of the year" awards worldwide for new car models rated as the best of their generation. This one was presented by the United States magazine Street & amp; Travel Magazine . Awards are awarded under ten different categories for new vehicles that are produced internationally and are available in the US market. The award ceremony was attended by 600 industry and media leaders the night before Press Days at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Awards have been awarded annually since 1997.
