C & amp; T Publishing is a medium, family-run, family-run quilting, sewing and crafting publisher based in Concord, CA. Founded in 1983 by Carolie and Tom Hensley, owner of The Cotton Patch, a quilting and sewing supplies store in Lafayette, CA. Roberta Horton, a friend of Carolie, wanted to publish a book about Amish inspired quilting, so Carolie and Tom collected money from friends and followed do-it-yourself advice from library books to publish their first book, An Amish Adventure >. The first edition sold 90,000 copies. Business grew from there, and the children Carolie and Tom, Todd and Tony Hensley, bought it from their parents in 1990. Since then, C & T has introduced two new traces: Stash Books and FunStitch Studio, as well as a website, Patternspot.com, where blanket patterns can be posted and purchased directly by consumers. C & amp; T Publishing also makes an effort to become more environmentally friendly, becoming Bay Area Green Business certified especially considering trends for green quilting projects. In Summer 2015, C & amp; T also earned Kansas City Star Selim. Author published with C & amp; T included Barbara Brackman, Yvonne Porcella, and Michael James. C & amp; T Book publishing is distributed in book trade by the National Book Network and in the UK by Search Press (since 2014).

Stash Books

The inaugural launch of this paper, which publishes handmade cloth artworks at a lower price point than other C & amp; T, hinting at new C & amp; T on book trading (the company previously sold mainly to quilt shops and chain crafts and through craft distributors). His books have a minimalist aesthetic with lots of white space and set-shot photography. Weekly Publishers calls the launch of "key factor in increasing sales" for T & C Publishing, which leads to a 47% increase in sales in 2010. 10 of the books published in 2010 under Stash Books are reprinted in the next year. In 2014, Stash Books makes up about half of the publisher's catalog. One of these books, Sew Adorkable by Samarra Khaja, won the Gold in the Craft Book category at the PubWest Book Design Awards in 2016.

FunStitch Studio

The success of the Stash Book trail leads to the creation of FunStitch Studio, a trail intended for children ages 8-14, 2013. This article releases 12 titles in the first year, and the bestselling book C & T Publishing in 2013, We Love to Sew , by Annabel Wrigley comes from this trail. The trail then released 10 titles in 2014. Due to the success of this paper and Stash Books, C & amp; T Publishing was named one of the Fastest Growing Independent Publishers of Weekly Publishers of the Year for 2013. Other Products

All C & amp; T has just been launched simultaneously in print and e-book formats, and many untracked titles have been released as ebooks. The company saw a 100% increase in ebook sales in 2010 and ebook sales nearly doubled in 2013.

The company also has a print-on-demand program for non-printed books, which began in mid-2009. The success of this program-it saw a nearly 1000% increase in sales in 2010-is one of the contributing factors to T Publishing & P named one of the fastest growing independent publishers in Publisher's Weekly Publisher in 2013.

In the digital world, C & amp; T Publishing operates Patternspot.com, a site "that allows users to upload and sell their own quiltmaking and craft sewing patterns," Patternspot.com was launched in August 2011. The company receives a portion of revenue from each sale, and the site also allows publishers to monitor future trends.

Starting 2009, C & amp; T also released a mobile app through the iTunes App Store, mostly content from books and DVDs that are reformatted and packaged for mobile devices.

Apart from books and digital-based companies, the company also has products, including kraftotex, special papers made to look and feel like leather, and gifts, including postcards, notebooks, journals, calendars, and bags.
