The Independent Baptist Fellowship of North America (IBFNA) is an independent Baptist independent separatist fundamentalist for priests and laypeople. Sometimes confused with the Independent Baptist Fellowship International (IBFI), the IBFNA is a north-oriented alliance formed by individuals who leave the General Association of Baptist Churches Regular (GARBC) because what they feel is an association's distortion away from the original separatist position. Fellowship was held in October 1990 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The Constitution was ratified in 1993 in Providence, Rhode Island. It consists of individuals and not churches. Individuals must renew their membership annually; the church is recognized as a 'support church' by financially supporting the Guild. The body is heavily oriented towards the local church, and all councils, institutions, and agencies remain in the hands of the church. Articles of Faith have been adopted, containing statements of Scripture, Triune God, Salvation, Sanctification, Church, Separation of Scripture, Civil Administration, Creation, Falling Man, Satan, and End Times. Review is published quarterly by IBFNA. Conferences are held every year.
In 1994, each Fellowship member came from 106 different churches, 60 of whom were not affiliated with other bodies and 46 were on average paralleled with IBFNA and GARBC. The biggest strength of this group is in Pennsylvania. Some members are located in Canada. The Independent Baptist Fellowship of North America is a member of the American Council of Christian Churches.
